Job Overview
The Production Manager will be responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations, production planning, workforce management, quality control, cost optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The role focuses on ensuring timely production and delivery of refrigerated truck bodies, cargo bodies, panel vans, insulated panels, ice cream boxes, and related products while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily production operations.
- Manage manufacturing activities for refrigerated bodies, cargo bodies, panel vans, and insulated products.
- Ensure production targets are achieved according to delivery schedules.
- Monitor workforce productivity and machine utilization.
- Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, Materials, and Stores departments.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing practices across production lines.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs.
- Monitor production costs and material consumption.
- Maintain compliance with quality standards and technical specifications.
- Ensure workplace safety and adherence to company policies.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Train, mentor, and develop production team members.
- Prepare production reports, KPI dashboards, and management updates.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering.
- Or a related Engineering discipline.
Experience
- 15 to 20 years of production management experience.
- Strong experience in manufacturing and industrial operations.
- Background in refrigerated body manufacturing.
- Experience with insulated panel production.
- Knowledge of reefer truck body fabrication.
- Experience in cargo body manufacturing and panel van production.
