About the Role
The Outpatient Clinic Coordinator will act as the primary administrative contact for AMD clinic patients, consultants, nursing staff, and healthcare professionals. The role focuses on patient pathway management, appointment scheduling, reception duties, administration support, and ensuring excellent patient care throughout the outpatient journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional reception and administrative support.
- Act as the first point of contact for patients and visitors.
- Manage clinic bookings and appointment scheduling.
- Maintain accurate patient records and healthcare information.
- Update PAS and patient management systems.
- Book diagnostic appointments and follow-up consultations.
- Support clinicians with appointment coordination.
- Monitor outpatient outcomes and RTT status.
- Handle telephone enquiries from patients and staff.
- Arrange transport, interpreters, and support services.
- Process clinic administration and cashiering activities.
- Ensure smooth patient pathway management.
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Support patient-centred healthcare services.
Required Qualifications
- GCSE level education including English and Mathematics.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of confidentiality and data protection.
- Previous administrative experience.
