💼 Job Overview
As a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, you will help maintain mission-critical electrical and mechanical systems that keep AWS data centers operating around the clock. This role involves preventive maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, facility inspections, infrastructure monitoring, vendor coordination, and ensuring maximum system reliability.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire safety systems.
- Conduct daily inspections throughout the data center.
- Operate Building Management Systems (BMS) and EPMS.
- Perform preventive maintenance on critical infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Install and decommission server racks.
- Complete technical documentation and maintenance reports.
- Support contractors and third-party vendors.
- Respond quickly to facility-related incidents.
- Ensure maximum uptime and operational reliability.
- Follow AWS safety standards and operational procedures.
- Assist with continuous improvement projects.
✅ Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of electrical or mechanical experience.
- OR 1 year of experience working in mission-critical facilities.
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook).
- Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 39 lbs independently.
- Comfortable working in industrial environments.

- 2+ years of Data Center Engineering experience.
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree.
- Experience maintaining electrical systems.
- Knowledge of HVAC, UPS systems, generators, cooling equipment, and power distribution.
