The Engineering Operation Technician is responsible for maintaining mission-critical electrical and mechanical systems that support AWS data centers. This role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, monitoring infrastructure systems, supporting facility operations, and ensuring maximum uptime for AWS cloud services.

📝 Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect electrical, mechanical, and fire safety equipment daily.
  • Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and EPMS.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on generators, UPS systems, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and motors.
  • Troubleshoot facility equipment and perform repairs.
  • Support rack installation and decommissioning activities.
  • Create technical documentation and maintenance reports.
  • Coordinate with contractors and facility vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with AWS operational and safety standards.
  • Travel between AWS facilities when business needs require.
  • Support multiple data center locations during operational expansion.

🎯 Required Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of electrical, mechanical, or mission-critical facility experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and rotating schedules.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
