About the Material Handler Role
The Material Handler plays an important role in the daily operation of the branch. This position is responsible for shipping, receiving, moving products safely, keeping the warehouse organized, and supporting inventory accuracy.
The role also supports customer and sales teams by providing product information, checking stock availability, confirming order quantities, and helping customers with inquiries or loading when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate pick tickets and gather materials for orders.
- Place products in designated warehouse areas.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and warehouse software.
- Pack, weigh, and label shipments accurately.
- Prepare bills of lading and shipping paperwork.
- Coordinate pickups and assist with order invoicing support.
- Unload, inspect, and verify received stock against manifests.
- Update inventory and address errors, damages, or returns.
- Conduct cycle counts and support stock accuracy.
- Consolidate materials and follow FIFO stock rotation.
- Keep the warehouse clean, safe, tidy, and organized.
