About the Role
The Director of Finance will be responsible for managing hands-on financial operations while also providing forward-looking financial analysis for strategic decision-making.
This role requires a strong balance of operational finance, leadership, compliance, planning, reporting, and business advisory skills. The Director of Finance will support the leadership team by delivering accurate financial insights and ensuring sustainable financial performance for the property.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Oversight & Reporting
- Oversee accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Maintain strong internal controls and transparent checks and balances.
- Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance.
- Review financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
- Lead the annual budgeting process and financial forecasting activities.
- Develop financial models to support operational and strategic decisions.
- Provide variance analysis and actionable insights to leadership.
- Support department heads in budget management and financial performance review.
- Evaluate cost structures and identify expense control opportunities.
Strategic & Operational Support
- Partner with leadership on long-range planning, capital investments, and business strategy.
- Support construction, renovation, and capital projects through budgeting, cash flow, and ROI analysis.
- Assist in evaluating new opportunities, partnerships, and operational initiatives.
- Provide financial guidance for pricing, labor, and operational decisions.
Cash Management & Banking
- Oversee cash flow management and forecasting.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5–10 years of progressive experience in Director of Finance or senior financial leadership roles.
- Experience in a large resort or hospitality property within the Middle East.
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or professional certification such as CA, CPA, or equivalent.
- Strong expertise in financial compliance, regulatory requirements, and audit management.
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software, financial systems, and data analysis tools.
- Excellent understanding of internal controls, risk management, and financial governance.
- Ability to lead and develop accounting teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
