The Transient Aircraft Services Technician is responsible for aircraft ground handling and servicing operations at the assigned installation. The role includes aircraft arrival support, marshaling, parking, servicing, turnaround, launch, recovery, and departure tasks.

This position works in a high-tempo, austere environment and supports continuous flight line operations. The selected candidate must follow safety standards, Technical Orders, airfield procedures, U.S. Government directives, and U.S. Air Force requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a Zero Harm workplace by following flight line safety requirements.
  • Follow FOD prevention, tool control, and PPE requirements.
  • Perform aircraft marshaling, parking, and positioning.
  • Execute aircraft arrival and departure services.
  • Support chocking, grounding, and safe aircraft positioning.
  • Perform aircraft servicing and general ground handling tasks.
  • Support aircraft turnaround and mission readiness.
  • Assist with launch and recovery operations.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and Airfield Management.
  • Inspect and service assigned equipment, vehicles, and support equipment.
  • Maintain accountability of tools and equipment.
  • Participate in FOD prevention and flight line inspections.
  • Follow Technical Orders, safety directives, and SOPs.
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members.
  • Report hazards, equipment malfunctions, and operational issues immediately.
  • Maintain aircraft servicing records, shift logs, and inspection checklists.

  • Perform additional duties assigned by the Supervisor or Site Manager.
