The Aviation Support Equipment Mechanic III is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, inspecting, testing, and maintaining Common Support Equipment. The role includes troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems using technical publications, wiring diagrams, diagnostic tools, and automated maintenance systems.
The technician also performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, documents maintenance actions, handles hazardous materials safely, conducts corrosion control, and supports deployment readiness for assigned aviation support equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose malfunctions in Common Support Equipment.
- Repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Essential Functions
- Perform diagnosis and corrective actions according to technical instructions.
- Review and apply maintenance manual procedures.
- Interpret wiring schematics, drawings, charts, and technical publications.
- Perform O-Level, I-Level, and authorized commercial repairs.
- Conduct hourly, calendar, scheduled, and unscheduled inspections.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Enter accurate maintenance data into local computer database systems.
- Research parts using illustrated parts breakdowns.
- Requisition repair parts, materials, and consumable supplies.
- Inspect, service, and test aviation support equipment.
- Test and service storage batteries including lead-acid, gel, and sealed types.
- Perform corrosion control, preservation, and de-preservation.
- Conduct off-station maintenance when required.

Minimum Requirements
- Must comply with Kuwaiti Labor and Immigration requirements.

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
